Parenting Values Card Sort

This tool combines aspects of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and neurodiversity-affirming perspectives to help you explore the core values that influence your parenting.

What is a value?

Values are the qualities and ways of being that act as ongoing guides (not goals) for how you want to show up as a parent. They may be related to morals and ethics, things you enjoy, or how you want to connect.

How it works

You'll see one value at a time. For each value, tap the category that fits the level of importance to you. (There is no right or wrong answer!) As you sort the cards, you'll see them appear in the piles below. You can move anything you'd like at any time. After sorting all cards, you'll have a chance to select your “top 5” most important values.

If a word is unclear, tap What might this look like? for an example.

Not sure yet? Decide later sends the card to the back of the deck.

A note about privacy: Your progress may automatically save on this device, but nothing you sort here is stored beyond that nor is any personal data collected about you.
